Obtaining a marriage license doesn't have anything to do with where you live. You are buying permission to hold an event in the county in which you obtain the license. The marriage ceremony IS the event. So, if you live in Cook Co. but would like your ceremony to take place in Lake Co., you will need to obtain your license in Lake Co.
Rev Angie travels a three state area (Illinois, Wisconsin & Michigan) to perform ceremonies, handfastings and vow renewals. Contact her if you are unsure which county to buy your license in. She has outdoor locations in Cook and Lake Co, IL, as well as in the suburbs of Milwaukee.

Rev. Angie Buchanan is currently a Spiritual Advisor for Pagan students at the University of Chicago, Campus Ministry, and a Certified Death Midwife; Rev Angie has an advanced education in Religious Studies. She is an experienced interfaith and LGBTQ friendly wedding officiant.
Rev. Angie would love to help you plan your special day and offers additional wedding day services for unusual events; theme or destination weddings, coordination, and personalized ceremonies.
Hello Rev Pam here. I have spend the last 12+ years building an award worthy 5-star wedding officiant service and now have partnered with Rev Angie to continue carrying the torch forward on another generation of Quick "I DO" wedding as the new IL Wedding Officiant.
Rev Angie is a Founder and the Spiritual Director of Earth Traditions Church, and of Gaia's Womb, an interfaith spirituality group that has been producing women's spiritual retreats since 1998.
She is a life-long Pagan animist with over 40 years of experience as a speaker, officiant, and ritualist. She served on the Board of Trustees for the Parliament of World Religions from 2002 – 2010 and is active emerita, contributing presentations internationally. In 2015, she was inducted into the Martin Luther King Jr. College of Ministers and Laity at Morehouse College.
